Large fire heavily damages boats at popular Florida Keys marina, county says
Two boats were nearly destroyed in a large fire at a popular Key West marina Monday night, according to Monroe County Fire Rescue. The fire started at the dry dock storage area of Robbie’s Marina at 7281 Shrimp Road around 9:30 p.m. and was extinguished around 1:20 a.m. Tuesday, said Kristen Livengood, Fire Rescue spokeswoman. There were no reported injuries, said Livengood.

‘Fore’ The Community Golf Tournament set for July 29 to benefit Habersham Co. Animal Shelter
The “Fore” The Community golf tournament will take place on Monday, July 29, with a shotgun start at 9am at Apple Mountain Golf Course in Hollywood. Cost of playing is $500 per team or $125 per player, with proceeds benefiting the Habersham County Animal Shelter. Breakfast and lunch will be provided to registered players. The animal shelter also will have door prizes and a silent auction. Each player will get one Mulligan, one Tee Buster, and one toss during the tournament.
