Exciting Renovations Coming to Collins Community Center!
Pardon our dust! We're thrilled to announce that the Collins Community Center will undergo significant renovations starting Monday, July 22nd, 2024. Thanks to a generous $2 million grant secured from FloridaCommerce, these renovations will enable the relocation of the Ethel M. Gordon Oakland Park Library and benefit lower-income residents by providing enhanced educational support, employment training and opportunities, and telehealth services.

This is a summary of Tamarac crime events through July 15, 2024, compiled through our joint effort with the Broward Sheriff’s Office to share updates with the residents. Momentum Solar was a victim of Burglary Conveyance at 6001 Hiatus Road that was reported on 07/10/2024. The total estimated loss was $65. An unknown suspect unbolted a tire from the victim’s vehicle and then attempted to put their very damaged tire on the victim’s vehicle, but it wouldn’t fit because there were 4 lug nuts on the victim’s vehicle and 5 lug nuts on the suspect’s wheel. It seems that after the suspect realized this, they left the victim’s rim on the ground but still took three lug nuts and left.
