Here at the Y, we love celebrating our members, our children, and the spirit of reciprocity that supports all our initiatives. There are countless volunteers who lend their time and brilliance to the Y. Donors, too. We are often so busy celebrating the seemingly limitless capacity of our Y community that some of our foundational features can be overlooked. Like buildings. Structures that house artists, provide shelter, and make room for kids to be kids. One steadfast building that keeps showing up for children and community is McEvoy Lodge.
Brett Meservey scores first MRS victory at Wiscasset Speedway
After battling the weather for nearly a month, Wiscasset Speedway was finally able to get in a full program on Saturday night as they hosted all Group 1 divisions plus the visiting Milton CAT Modified Racing Series. It was also the first Fan Appreciation night of the season and drivers participated in an on-track autograph session prior to the start of the racing action.

BANGOR, Maine (WABI) - Scattered showers and thunderstorms will move across areas north of Bangor thru mid-morning then we’ll see a mix of sun and clouds for today with a chance of an isolated shower or thunderstorm this afternoon. It’ll be hot and humid with afternoon highs in the upper 70s to low 80s along the coast and mid-80s to low 90s inland. Dew points will be in the upper 60s to low 70s which will make it feel like it in the low to mid-90s for interior locations. An upper level disturbance crossing the area tonight will give us a chance for some scattered showers and thunderstorms through the overnight hours.
