Lewiston-based home repair program to help seniors stay in their homes will expand in Maine
The Lewiston Housing Authority will expand a home modification program for seniors with a $1.25 million award from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. BAR HARBOR — Beatrix Farrand Society welcomes K Greene to present “The Art of the Seed” at Garland Farm on Thursday, Sept. 5, at 4 p.m. Greene is the co-founder of the Hudson Valley Seed Library, which in 2004 became the first public library-based seed lending library in the United States. In 2008, he went on to co-found Hudson Valley Seed Company, focusing on heirloom and open pollinated vegetable, flower and herb seed. TD Bank Golf Tournament raises over $14,000 for NMCC Foundation
Aroostook County – The 17th annual TD Bank Golf Tournament to Benefit the NMCC Foundation took place on Thursday, August 15th, at the Presque Isle Country Club. This year’s event raised $14,851 to support students at Northern Maine Community College, drawing the largest number of teams since 2019.
