Its a quality being taught to students in the Alcorn School District as part of “Capturing Kids Hearts,” the district’s social-emotional learning program.     William George Scott, Jr. A Celebration of Life service for William George Scott, Jr., 55 of Corinth, MS, will be Saturday, October 16, 2021 at 2:00 P M at Magnolia Funeral Home – East Chapel with interment to follow at Dogwood Cemetery. Bro. Tim Wilbanks and Bobby Maxey will officiate the service. Visitation will be Friday, October 15, 2021 from 5:00 P M to 8:00 P M and Saturday, October 16, 2021 from 12:00 noon until service time at Magnolia Funeral Home – East. Mr. Scott passed away Wednesday, October 13, 2021 at Magnolia Regional Health Center. He was born November 25, 1965 in Kenosha, WI to William George Scott, Sr. and Brenda Dale Wilkins Scott. He was of the Pentecostal faith and a member of Middleton Pentecostal Tabernacle. He enjoyed boating, zip lining, parasailing and anything else that was adventurous. He loved vacationing, traveling and grilling out. Mr. Scott is survived by his wife of 24 years, Melinda Scott; his sons, William Levi Scott (Savannah), Austin Keith Scott (Sheridan Osborn), Nathaniel A. Burcham (Courtney Seals); his step son, Dewayne Holloway; his step daughter, Victoria Holloway; 10 grandchildren and 1 on the way, Adam Cole Burcham, Koda Burcham, Nash Burcham, Beck Burcham, Ella Scott, future granddaughter, Layla Scott, Austin Holloway, Lindsey Holloway, Jayla Hubbard, Kayla Hubbard and Brianna Holloway; his brothers, Terry Scott (Jean) and Tommy Scott; his sister, Brenda Maxey (Bobby); special friend, Vickie Wells; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his father, William George Scott, Sr.; his mother Brenda Dale Wilkins Scott; his brother, Joey Scott; his maternal grandparents, Norman and Lillian Grissom Wilkins and his paternal grandparents, Ardell and Eva Barnes Scott. Pallbearers will be Nathaniel Burcham, Levi Scott, Austin Scott, Chris Scott, Austin Holloway, Gerald Curry.
