Lake Norman home with dual lakefront views purchased for record $11.5 million

CORNELIUS, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — A Lake Norman home was sold for a record amount this month that has waterfront views in both front and back.

According to real estate company Ivester Jackson-Christies International, the 8,900-square-foot home on Belle Isle Drive sold for $11.5 million. Ivester Jackson says the closing price is a record for Mecklenburg County, Lake Norman and Cornelius.

Sitting on a 2-acre property, the home comes with the following features:

• 5.5 bathrooms
• Infinity edge pool and spa
• Four-car garage
• Natural beach, attached guest lanai
• 180-degree lake views

“This listing is unlike any we’ve seen in the region,” said Lori Ivester Jackson of Ivester Jackson Properties. “It’s flawless pacific-style design and expansive retractable glass waterside transitional spaces combined to create an immersive 180-degree lakefront experience.”

The house was listed for $12 million, and last sold for $2.65 million in 2018.

The record price may be short lived. Former Panthers running back Christian McCaffrey listed his Lake Norman home in Iredell County for $12.5 million in January.

Further, former NASCAR driver Kevin Harvick also listed his south Charlotte estate for $12.5 million .

The Charlotte record price was set in June, when the Charlotte Checkers owner sold his Mediterranean-inspired property for $8.4 million.

The Belle Isle home is right around the corner from NASCAR star Denny Hamlin’s mansion.
