Southern California Heat Wave: San Diego Expects Soaring Temperatures and Monsoonal Moisture
As the sun casts its relentless gaze upon Southern California, San Diego is bracing for a sweltering week ahead, with temperatures soaring above average, the National Weather Service said in a statement. Monday's weather in San Diego County is expected to reach highs in the lower to mid-70s near the coast and could climb into the 90s for the inland valleys, while the Apple and Lucerne Valleys face a scorching range of 100 to 110 degrees. Spraying For Mosquitoes In Indio And Coachella
The Coachella Valley Mosquito and Vector Control District will conduct weekly truck-mounted mosquito control applications to reduce the risk of local transmission of mosquito-borne viruses in Indio and Coachella. The treatments are planned for Saturdays, beginning July 20th, 2024, and continuing through September 21st, 2024, between 1:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m., weather permitting.
