Corpus Christi Beer Festival: What you need to know

Beer aficionados will soon take over the Art Center of Corpus Christi for the annual Corpus Christi Beer Festival.

Local breweries will hold the beer-tasting experience from 2 to 7 p.m. Saturday, May 25.

Tickets are $30 to $65 and can be purchased at corpuschristibeerfest.com. The event is cashless.

The Corpus Christi Beer Festival benefits the Art Center of Corpus Christi, a nonprofit in the downtown area that showcases local artists and holds art classes.

Aside from beer, live music and vendors, attendees can also participate in the 4th annual Half K by the Bay: Beer Run. Runners will have to run as quickly as possible while keeping their beer around the official qualification line of their cup.

The top three finishers will take home a handmade beer mug trophy.
