Corpus Christi ISD's Tech2Teach offers tech insights for teachers, parents

Corpus Christi ISD's tenth Tech2Teach event will take place July 24 and 25.

The school district holds Tech2Teach every summer, offering free sessions on technology in the classroom for hundreds of teachers July 24 and 25. Corpus Christi ISD families are also invited to attend sessions on Thursday.

Kick-off will take place 8:15 a.m. on Wednesday and Thursday, with sessions throughout the day until 3:30 p.m. A snack will also be provided from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. The event takes place at Veterans Memorial High School.

Attendees can bring up to two children above eight years old along for "family pathway" sessions on Thursday.

In total, the event will feature over 70 sessions, with most geared towards educators. This includes sessions on adaptive blended learning, helping students research online, pedagogy in the digital age, using tools like microphones and iPads, Google tools and Adobe programs, online learning software, robotics and artificial intelligence.

Sessions aimed at families will cover cybersecurity tips for parents and guardians, internet safety and understanding the district's website and online resources.
