Corpus Christi baseball players named to Texas Sports Writers Association Class 5A all-state team

Three Coastal Bend players from Class 5A programs were named to the Blue Bell/Texas Sports Writers Association all-state team.

Ray's Lucas Tinajero was a third-team selection after helping lead the Texans back to the UIL postseason.

Veterans Memorial senior Adin Ruiz, who was a key part of the Eagles pitching rotation, received honorable mention as an outfielder.

Vets shortstop Damon Hernandez also received honorable mention.
