Smithsonian’s NMAI To Host Native Cinema Showcase in Santa Fe
SANTA FE, NM – The Smithsonian’s National Museum of the American Indian returns to Santa Fe, NM, Aug. 15–18 for its Native Cinema Showcase. The museum’s 24th annual celebration of the best in Indigenous film includes 38 films this year. The showcase provides an unparalleled forum for engagement with Native filmmakers from Indigenous communities throughout the Western Hemisphere and Arctic. This year’s program begins with a panel discussion featuring Indigenous film luminaries Graham Greene, Tantoo Cardinal, Gary Farmer and Wes Studi, moderated by Sierra Teller Ornelas. Roadrunner All-Stars are headed to Waco Regional
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – For a second straight year the majors division All-Star team from Roadrunner Little League is headed to Waco, Texas, for the Southwest Little League Regional Tournament. This team is riding some major momentum as they went undefeated in district play, outscoring their opponents 65-2. When they won the state title, they outscored opponents 25-2. The team will play their first game in the southwest regional on Friday, August 2. The team earned a first-round bye in Waco, Texas, which means that they only need three wins to make it to the Little League World Series.
