Blanco woman missing for nearly 10 years found dead
The body of a Blanco woman missing for nearly 10 years was found July 3 by a person walking in the area, according to the San Juan County Sheriff’s Office. Sharron Holcomb was 64 years old when she disappeared Nov. 18, 2014. She was last seen at 1 p.m. that day, driving away from her Farmington-based business Holcomb Oil and Gas Co. Her car was later found at the family home in Bloomfield, but she was not home.

Las Cruces man arrested after leaving toddler in car to buy drugs, police say
LAS CRUCES, N.M. (KFOX14/CBS4) — Las Cruces police arrested a 24-year-old man for allegedly leaving his two-year-old son in a running vehicle to buy drugs Saturday morning. According to the Las Cruces Police Department, Jacob Lopez was arrested and charged with child abuse and two counts of possession of a controlled substance after police received a 911 call from a witness who said Lopez had left his son unattended while he went into a room at the Plaza Suites, at 301 E.
