Facing significant rent hikes, some St. George Residences tenants feel hung out to dry
Karen Funk, 83, has lived in the St. George Residences along the north end of Pacific Avenue since the early 1990s. Talbott’s Kamee Knudsen Debuts New Wines
July 26, 2024 – Eager to make her own mark on the Talbott lineup, winemaker Kamee Knudsen has introduced a little bit of steel to the Chardonnay program. Like adding a twang of steel pedal to a country ballad for emotional impact, it definitely makes its presence known in the wine. And, beyond that, she’s also done something completely new for Talbott, and that is to offer a low alcohol alternative.

Lea este artículo en español aquí. During hot summer days residents and visitors can stay cool by visiting local libraries and parks in San Benito County. Some Heat Before Weekend Cool Down
Temperatures will begin to cool off as we head into to the weekend, but we’ll squeeze one more hot one out inland today. High pressure will begin to move farther south and east from our area and troughing will set in on the West Coast. As the ridge moves on today, dryer air will filter in aloft and while the hot center of the ridge will be farther away, it will take less energy to heat the dryer air, so temperatures in most inland areas will be close to Wednesday’s highs. We’ll warm quickly on the coast too, but the easing of high pressure will allow the marine layer to deepen and become more stable. Cooler, ocean air will eventually push farther into the valleys and clouds have a better chance at setting up near the coast. So while the first half of the day may feel similar to what we experienced on Wednesday, the latter half will be cooler, especially for the coast and near coastal valleys. Friday will feature much different weather!
