Recreational Marijuana Prohibited in Uhrichsville
The recreational use of marijuana is now prohibited within City of Uhrichsville limits. Council also voted on a few other matters. Among two separate ordinances up for vote, 12-24 prohibits the adult use of cannabis operations, include cultivators, processors, and dispensaries within city limits. The other, 13-24 emends the city’s codified ordinances to define and prohibit the cultivation, processing, and retail dispensing of cannabis for the purpose of adult recreational use in all zoning districts.

The State Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal incident on I-77 south. The accident occurred near bolivar Sunday morning involving a pedestrian who was struck and killed. New Philadelphia post trooper Roy Beach says the victim, 34-year-old Jonathan Mandala of Akron, apparently walked onto the highway from the right side of the lanes and was hit by a flatbed truck just before 10 a.m.
