Reading and leading to celebrate 200 years of Dale County
DOTHAN, Ala. (WTVY) - 322 books. That’s how many the kids at the Ozark Boys and Girls Club read this summer as part of their summer reading program with Short the Squirrel. In celebration of Dale County’s bicentennial 200th anniversary, the goal for the summer reading program was to read 200 books.
Ice rink expected to make reappearance in Dothan, could ice hockey follow?
DOTHAN, Ala. (WTVY) - Ice skating or ice hockey fans get prepared! An ice rink is expected to return to the Circle City this winter but with some additions. An estimated one million dollar project is said to be in the works for an ice rink to come to the Dothan Fairgrounds in a few months. The plan is for the rink to be moved from the Fairgrounds if it shows to be successful.
