DOIs allow school districts to hire uncertified or under-certified teachers in certain high-need areas.

San Antonio police arrest two additional suspects in capital murder case
SAN ANTONIO, Texas — Two men have been arrested in connection with a double homicide that occurred on July 20, 2023, according to the San Antonio Police Department. Austyn Hartnett, 22, and Micheal Trevino, 22, were apprehended after a shooting on the 1800 block of Lockhill Selma. Although officers did not find any victims at the scene, two male victims were reported missing the following day. An abandoned vehicle was later discovered with evidence indicating that the missing victims had been inside the car.
