After nearly 23 years of working together, country artist Blake Shelton decides to part ways with his long-time record label Warner Music Nashville. The announcement of the severance of the partnership was made on the morning of September 3, 2024. The split was amicably made, but fans are wondering what Shelton is planning next.

Shelton shared the background behind his relationship with Warner Music Nashville in a statement sharing, “I moved to Nashville when I was 17 to sing country music and get a record deal. Along with the support from Warner, my dreams came true, and then some. It’s impossible to name everyone who has had a hand in all the success we enjoyed, but a huge and heartfelt thank you to the Giant Records, Warner Bros. Records and Warner Music Nashville staff and family.”

In 2001 Shelton released his first album Blake Shelton, featuring "Austin," "All Over Me" and "Ol Red," and was first signed with Giant Records. Right when "Austin" was climbing country charts, however, Giant Records shuttered and Shelton was transferred to Warner. The cards were played right as this move allowed "Austin" to enjoy a five-week stay at the top of the charts, jumpstarting Shelton's career into what it is today.

Of Shelton, Warner Music Nashville said, “Working alongside Blake these past 23 years has been an honor and a privilege. Together, we’ve celebrated a record number of hit songs, sold-out tours and award wins. Blake’s talent is undeniable, but that wit of his, and the countless moments of laughter he’s given us remind us how fun this business of music can be. While our time together has come to an end, we count ourselves amongst his biggest fans and are grateful for the ride with this true gentleman and icon.”

While his thanks are being extended to everyone who has helped him get this far, fans wonder what lies ahead for Shelton. His most recent collaboration with Post Malone, "Pour Me A Drink" is rapidly rising to No 1. and the country artist even joined Post Malone in the making of the music video.

With his new release taking center stage, Shelton has been making plans for the future and has mentioned his ambition to take up residency in Las Vegas.  “We’ve been talking about a Vegas residency for a few years, and all the pieces just came together for a run next year,” Shelton shared in a statement. “The Colosseum is such an iconic venue, and I’m excited to bring some honky-tonk neon to the Palace.”

The plans for Shelton to perform at Caesar's Palace have been announced and is sure to be a highly anticipated event. Sin City had better watch its back with honky-tonk nation taking over in February 2025. His performances are scheduled for the 5, 7, 8, 12, 14, and 15th beginning at 8 P.M.
