Isiah Pacheco will be sidelined indefinitely with a fractured fibula.

The Vineland native and two-time Super Bowl champion suffered the injury during the Kansas City Chiefs ’ 26-25 victory over the visiting Cincinnati Bengals.

Pacheco rushed 19 times for 90 yards and caught five passes for 21 yards before limping off the field in the fourth quarter. On the play, Pacheco had his leg pinned behind him as he was tackled by a defender. He limped off the field and didn't return.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported Monday that initial tests showed the fracture. Pacheco is scheduled to have more tests to determine the full extent of the injury.

Rapoport also said that Pacheco will undergo surgery this week.

No official timetable was determined for his return, but he is expected to be placed on injured reserve on Monday, which would sideline him for at least the next four weeks. According to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, Pacheco is likely to miss six to eight weeks.

Despite his explosive running style, Pacheco hasn’t had a long history of injuries. He broke a bone in his hand in 2023 AFC Championship, but still played in the Super Bowl two weeks later.

Pacheco suffered a torn labrum during his rookie season. He never missed a game, but had surgery after the Super Bowl.

Pacheco has rushed for 1,900 yards with 13 touchdowns in his career. He had 135 rushing yards and a score in two games this season.
