Pumpkin picking time has arrived.
You’re in luck. New Jersey is nicknamed the Garden State, and South Jersey has plenty of farmland and greenery.
For those who want to find the perfect pumpkin for their porch this fall or even for Halloween carving, we’ll point you to some local options.
Here are 10 places to pick pumpkins in South Jersey:
Coombs Barnyard, Elmer
Pumpkin picking takes place on Sundays in October. The Barnyard Bash, which includes barrel train rides and barnyard animals, includes pumpkin picking, a corn maze and more.

Creamy Acres Farm, Mullica Hill
From Sept. 21 through Oct. 21, you can take a wagon to the pumpkin patch. There is also a kiddie corn maze and a farm park with games, pedal karts and more.

Duffield’s Farm, Sewell
Hayrides, pumpkin and apple picking and a corn maze are among the fall activities offered. There are also pony rides, a "Barnbounce" and face-painting for children.

Hill Creek Farms, Mullica Hill
This family-owned and -operated farm is on 57 acres and accepts walk-ins for you-pick Saturdays and Sundays, although pre-purchasing admissions is recommended. On Fridays admission is free. Pumpkins, apples, sunflowers and pears are among the items that can be picked (cost is by the pound). They also have a market, bakery, wine garden and several event spaces. There is a playground, barrel train ride and moon bounce for children.

Indian Acres Tree Farm, Medford
Weekends at the farm begin Sept. 21. They offer a wagon ride that takes you to maze and pumpkin fields. There are also barrel train rides and a playground and petting zoo. Live music and refreshments are also offered at this Christmas tree farm, family-owned and -operated since 1961.

Johnson’s Corner Farm, Medford
Johnson’s Corner Farm seemingly has it all: wagon rides, pumpkin picking and an animal farm. There is a farmhouse market and bakery as well.

Johnson’s Locust Hall Farm, Jobstown
The 17 th -century preserved farm, owned by the Johnson family along with Johnson’s Corner Farm, has a park-and-pick that allows visitors to select their own crops directly from the fields. There is food available at the Farmhouse Grill.

Mood’s Farm Market, Mullica Hill
The Gloucester County farm market offers pick-your-own, finishing with apples and pumpkins in October. There is also a corn maze. They press their own apple cider in the fall and make apple cider doughnuts fresh daily. Hayrides are offered.

R and J Farm, Egg Harbor City
Opening day is Sept. 21. Hayrides, pumpkin picking and the corn maze are popular activities this time of year. They also have a fall photo area available.

Once you’re done pumpkin picking, there are group hayrides, then there is the bakery, which offers all sorts of seasonal baked goods.
