    There were plenty of great performances from the fifth week of action throughout South Jersey.

    Doane Academy's Ceren Firat earned the most votes in last week's poll, collecting 39.6 percent of the 19.6K votes recorded. Audubon's Molly Sullivan and Palmyra's Kyleigh Himel rounded out the top three.

    Top Performances from Week 5

    Burlington County Scholastic League

    Anna Corsanico, Delran. The senior started October on a goal-scoring tear as she delivered five goals in three games. She scored a pair as the Bears knocked off previously unbeaten Audubon 5-0 on Oct. 1 and had a goal and an assist as the team pinned Palmyra with its first loss. She has 11 goals and eight assists on the season.

    Destiny Downs-Williams, Pemberton. The junior collected five goals and an assists at the Hornets stung Burlington City and Florence by a combined 9-1 score. Downs-Williams chalked up her first career scholastic hat trick against Florence. She has seven goals for the season.

    Norah Quinn, Cinnaminson. After tying a season-high in saves with 15 during a key 4-2 win over Holy Cross Prep, the junior goalie combined to make 12 stops in consecutive shutouts against Maple Shade and Allentown to close out the week. Quinn and the Pirates’ defense have posted seven shutouts on the season.

    Colonial Conference

    Lea English, Lindenwold. The senior delivered her first scholastic hat trick in the Lions’ 3-0 win over Florence on Oct. 4. English has netted five goals this season, one shy of her career high.

    Ella Simko, West Deptford. Helping the Eagles extend their winning streak to seven, the freshman registered three goals and three assists in victories over Williamstown, Gloucester and Holy Cross. She had her first multi-goal game of her scholastic career against Gloucester.

    Gabby Verdone, Collingswood. The senior tallied five goals to become the program’s all-time leading scorer. Verdone scored twice in a 6-0 win over Paulsboro on Oct. 1 and registered a hat trick in a 4-2 win over Gloucester on Oct. 5. Verdone raised her career total to 51 goals, breaking the old mark of 48 previously held by Karen Townsend (1995) and Cindy Serrano (2002.

    Olympic Conference

    Abigail Ondo, Rancocas Valley. The junior registered a multi-point performance with a goal and an assist to highlight the Red Devils’ 3-2 win over Allentown on Oct. 13. The goal gave her a career-best four for the season.

    Nevaeh Roark, Eastern. The senior tallied the decisive goal in a 1-0 victory over Sterling on Oct. 1. It was the Vikings’ fifth straight one-goal victory. Roark leads the team with six assists and is tied with Lily Burt with a team-best five goals on the season.

    Lauren Stafford, Moorestown. The senior put together a pair of five-save shutouts as the Quakers earned 1-0 victories over Williamstown and Clearview. Stafford has five shutouts on the season, including three straight leading into this week.

    Tri-County Conference

    Layla Connor, Gloucester County Tech. The senior posted 24 saves in three games, recording three clean sheets in road wins over Clearview and Highland and a 0-0 draw at Cherry Hill West. She raised her career shutout total to seven.

    Mya Narcisi, Kingsway. The Dragons notched three wins last week, two coming in overtime, and the freshman forward played a pivotal role in the success. Narcisi collected the golden goal with 19 seconds left in the second overtime period in a 3-2 win over Washington Township on Sept. 30. She also had an assist in a 2-1 overtime victory over Haddonfield on Oct. 5 along with a goal and assist in a 7-0 triumph over Highland on Oct. 2. The goals were the first of her scholastic career.

    Abby Willoughby, Schalick. The junior’s second-half goal was the difference in a 1-0 win over Glassboro on Oct. 3. She also had a goal and an assist in a 5-0 victory against Penns Grove on Sept. 30. She has eight goals for the season.

    Cape-Atlantic League

    Dani Daley, Wildwood Catholic. The freshman delivered seven goals in three games, reaching the 20-goal mark in 10 contests. She scored twice and set up a third goal as the Crusaders upset previously unbeaten Pleasantville 6-5 on Oct. 4.

    Taylar Knoop, Millville. Fresh off a two-goal performance against Holy Spirit on Oct. 1, the senior provided the game-winning goal in a 3-2 triumph over arch-rival Vineland two days later. Millville ended a five-game skid with a pair of one-goal victories.

    Ashlyn Silvesti, Hammonton. The Blue Devils kept their winning ways rolling and Silvesti played a pivotal role. The sophomore scored six goals as Hammonton knocked off Oakcrest, Atlantic Tech and previously unbeaten Our Lady of Mercy. Silvesti leads the team with 13 goals this season and owns 18 career tallies.
