A Camden man has been found guilty of a deadly ambush attack in the city's Whitman Park neighborhood.

Shomari Kinard, 44, allegedly waited for his victim to leave a grocery store, then shot 25-year-old Nuquan Reddick seven times in the back in May 2018, according to the Camden County Prosecutor's Office.

Reddick, a Camden resident, died from his wounds two months later.

Investigators identified Kinard as the shooter through surveillance video, cell phone data and witness statements, the prosecutor’s office said.

A jury on Oct. 10 found Kinard guilty of murder and weapons offenses after a five-week trial.

He is to be sentenced Dec. 10 in Superior Court in Camden.
