Teen arrested for driving 137 mph on I-5 in Portland
PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A 19-year-old man was arrested for allegedly driving 137 mph on I-5 in Northeast Portland on July 23. The Portland Police Bureau said that Rolando Mendoza was clocked at the deadly speed while driving southbound on I-5 between Alberta Street and Columbia Boulevard at 8:21 p.m. Police seized Mendoza’s yellow muscle car and he was booked into the Multnomah County jail for reckless driving and attempting to elude police by vehicle — a class C felony.
Wells Fargo will lay off 95 more workers in Hillsboro
Wells Fargo plans to lay off 95 more workers in Hillsboro, the bank said Tuesday. The company, which remains a large regional employer, laid off 316 call center workers in the Portland suburb last year.
