CINCINNATI (WKRC) - A new study suggests that getting the vaccine to protect against shingles may be good for your memory as well. "So, shingles is the chicken pox virus that comes out later in life, it usually comes out in one dermatome or one nerve distribution, so it will look like a stripe on your chest, your face," said infectious disease specialist Dr. Stephen Blatt. "It's vesicles its very painful it can cause a lot of sometimes fever, makes you feel pretty lousy. It's a really good vaccine. It prevents 90 percent of shingles cases in people who have previously been infected with chicken pox."
