This century-old restaurant has witnessed countless historical and legendary moments, serving numerous US Presidents including Truman, Kennedy, Nixon, Bush, and Biden. The most legendary tale is Kennedy proposing to Jacqueline in 1953 at the restaurant’s “proposal booth”. The Tiffany chandeliers are beautiful, and the signature oyster stew and steak are simply stunning! Sitting in the special booth inside, you'll feel like you're in a movie scene. Outside, the cozy holiday decorations of Georgetown add to the ambiance, making for a fantastic experience! The wine selection is average, and I don’t believe it’s Michelin-worthy, haha. The truffle goose liver dumplings are small but crafted with care. The funghi pizza isn’t bad either. Other dishes didn’t leave much of an impression, but for the goose liver dumplings and lasagna, it’s worth a second visit!
