First Alert Forecast | Here Comes Another Heat Wave
HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) - Since the middle of June, we’ve had 20 days where the afternoon temperature has reached or exceeded 90-degrees. The repetition has allowed us to get more accustomed to the precautions we need to take and a more pared-down list of things we choose to do outside. I suppose it means we’re more ready for the heat, but it’s still a chore to deal with. At least the morning temperatures have been comfortable owing to the lower humidity we’ve been seeing, but that too will change in the coming days. The two places to be this afternoon is IN the pool, or IN-side. Look for afternoon highs to reach the low 90s, with only an outside shot at an isolated shower, mainly in our far eastern or far western counties. Once we get past sunset, temperatures will cool down back into a comfortable range again. Saturday will start off back in the 60s.
