BRIDGEPORT, W.Va (WDTV) - Good morning NCWV and welcome into a new week! We are still seeing those high temperatures in the mid to high 90s in the lowlands and the mid to high 80s in the higher elevations for today and tomorrow. We are going to be seeing some rainfall as well as some storms in the area this evening as a frontal system starts to push into NCWV. These storms do have the potential to be severe, with damaging winds being the biggest threat. Wind gusts are currently forecasted at 30MPH for this evening. As we get into tomorrow, this frontal system starts to push the the NE and starts to stall out over us. We will start to see rain showers and storms once again as we get into the afternoon hours and once again these storms have severe potential, with wind gusts getting up to 40MPH. Tornado chances are also non-zero, while these chances remain unlikely, there is still potential to see them more towards the NW of NCWV. With this frontal system however, we will start to see temperatures finally drop off and get back into the low to mid 80s in the lowlands! Daniel Niemasz has all of this and more on your First Alert Forecast.
