Three-time Canadian Olympian Sydney Pickrem will join the coaching staff at West Virginia next season. West Virginia University swimming and diving head coach Brent MacDonald announced that three-time Canadian Olympian Sydney Pickrem will join the staff as an assistant men’s and women’s swimming coach. Pickrem will join the team after the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, where she is scheduled to compete later this month.

Woman arrested after telling police she shot her husband
PARKERSBURG, W.Va. (WTAP) - One woman has been arrested after she told police she shot her husband. On Saturday, July 13, the Parkersburg Police Department responded to an address on Rayon Dr. in south Parkersburg in reference to a shooting that had already occurred. The subject and arrestee, identified as Bendi Tucker, called 911, stating she had shot her husband, according to the release.
