Water Main Repairs begin today in Lander
The City of Lander Water Department and Patrick Construction, Inc., are starting a water main replacement project on the 100 block of South 6th Street today due to the damage caused by freezing last winter. Residents in the area should expect a water outage for about a day early in the week while the repair is being made. A notice will be provided to the impacted residents as more details become available.

BUTLER CREEK FIRE (NW of Missoula) The Butler Creek Fire was first report Monday, July 22, 2024, at about 1:30am. The fire is burning west of Butler Creek Rd in grass and heavy timber, 7 miles northwest of downtown Missoula. It is north of I-90, and east of Hwy 93. So far, it has burned 307 acres, and is 15% contained. Its cause is being investigated.

CASPER, Wyo. — A recent Kelly Walsh High School graduate took first place in a prestigious music scholarship competition in Jackson over the weekend. Evan DePaolo, who just graduated from KWHS this May, took home the $25,000 first-place scholarship on Sunday, playing multiple percussion pieces in the Grand Teton Music Festival’s Seventh Annual Scholarship Competition held in honor of the festival’s music director, Donald Runnicles.
