Gov. Kemp and Visa announce new hub and jobs in Atlanta

Governor Brian Kemp and Visa have collaborated in a joint effort that will bring Visa’s latest office hub to the city of Atlanta. The new Visa hub is expected to bring 1,000 new jobs to the Greater Atlanta area.

“It’s always great to see a world-renowned company like Visa capitalize on the exceptional pool of diverse talent in Georgia and choose to invest in our state,” said Governor Kemp. “Georgia is a growing hub for the [financial technology] industry thanks in part to our strategic investment in workforce development initiatives, and I look forward to seeing the countless opportunities this significant expansion creates for hardworking Georgians.”

Visa has already begun construction on a new, 123,000-sq. foot office building, located at 1200 Peachtree Street in Midtown Atlanta. The office is slated to open in 2022. The new hub is expected to provide a variety of services that Visa is known for, with a focus on technological development and utilization, and the creation and development of client services teams. The company is actively hiring for careers in client services, product management, software development, risk and security, finance and more. Director of Corporate Solutions and Cybersecurity Kristi Brigman represented the Georgia Department of Economic Development’s (GDEcD) Global Commerce division on this project, which was a joint effort with Fulton County, the Metro Atlanta Chamber, and Georgia Power.
