Large Bear Spotted in Heavily Populated Residential Areas of City, Including Near Johnson Avenue Schools
Several Bridgeport residents have reported spotting a large black bear in residential areas across the city, with the earliest reports coming in at just before noon today. The photo below shows the bear running across Johnson Avenue in the turn just above Johnson Elementary School. Other reports have the bear as being seen in an area just across Johnson Avenue in another significant residential area.

FAIRMONT, W.Va. — In October 2018, Victoria Grace was celebrated as the first woman to complete her Private Pilot Single Engine Land Rating through Fairmont State University’s flight program. Grace went on to be the first woman to graduate from the aviation program and then became their first female flight instructor.
