Iowa hemp drink makers sue state over new THC limits
A pair of Iowa-based hemp beverage companies filed a federal lawsuit challenging the state’s new restrictions on THC content in consumable hemp products, Law360 reported. Climbing Kites LLC and Field Day Brewing Company LLC, both cannabis-infused drink manufacturers, allege that the new law violates the U.S. Constitution’s Supremacy Clause and will render about 80% of their current inventory illegal overnight, according to a complaint filed last week in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Iowa.
