Hilight Zone Week One: High school football season kicks off as Stratford impresses early
WAUSAU, Wis. (WSAW) - A brand new high school football season kicked off on Friday night as the Friday night lights got switched back on. The beginning of the season marked a new era for a lot of schools after mass conference realignment across the state took place in the offseason.
Friday's Events at the Central Wisconsin State Fair
The Central Wisconsin State Fair is underway at the fairgrounds in Marshfield. The carnival opens today at 2pm. Individual ride tickets can be purchased. Wristbands will be available for $25 from 2pm-6pm and $30 from 6pm-10pm today. Today is Family Day at the carnival and all rides cost one less ticket from 2pm-6pm.

MAPLE, Wis.- The three-time defending Heart O’North champions, the Northwestern football team began their 2024 campaign on Friday.
