Bucyrus man appears in court seeking Personal recognizance bond for medical treatment
BUCYRUS, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—Gary Wayne Gallant, 53, of Bucyrus made an appearance in the Crawford County Common Pleas Court on Monday for a Pretrial hearing. Gallant, who is currently being held in the Crawford County Jail on a $250,000 bond, is facing 26 various drug trafficking counts as well as charges of having weapons under disability.
Crestline man headed to prison on drug and probation violation charges
A Crestline man was sentenced to nearly a year in prison after pleading guilty to new charges and to violating his probation in another case. Nathan D. Brady, 44, pleaded guilty June 19 in Crawford County Common Pleas Court to two counts of possession of drugs, both fifth-degree felonies, and to violating his probation on a theft charge conviction from 2023.

BUCYRUS, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—The South of the Square Block Party made its return to Schines Art Park this year. Local businesses rallied to raise $4,000 for “Remembering our Heroes,” a nonprofit organization committed to supporting Crawford County veterans who have been denied assistance elsewhere. The nonprofit has launched several initiatives to help veterans, including building wheelchair ramps, helping with utility bills, providing gas cards and groceries, arranging transportation to medical appointments, assisting with car repairs, and ensuring safe housing for veterans.

Indictments lead to higher bond for two men facing drug charges
The bond for two men recently arrested in a drug raid has been increased following their indictment by a Crawford County grand jury. Michael R. Lucas, 33, Crestline, is facing three drug-related charges after he was arrested, along with Zachariah X. Zacharzuk, 29, of Galion, on June 4 as the result of a narcotics investigation by the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office and Special Response Team.
