Benefit raffle and dinner held for three men killed in crash
BUTLER, Pa. — Friends, family and community members gathered once again Sunday inside the Butler Moose to support the families ofthree men killed in a June 8 crash. Ronald Parisi, 21, Joshua Boettner, 19, and Levi Deal, 17, were pronounced dead at the scene of a vehicle accident in Athens Township, Crawford County. State police say the vehicle left the roadway and hit a tree.
Update: Severe thunderstorm warning previously issued will expire at 2:15 p.m.
The warning was for Crawford County. "The storm which prompted the warning has weakened below severe limits, and no longer poses an immediate threat to life or property. Therefore, the warning will be allowed to expire. However, heavy rain is still possible with this thunderstorm. A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 8 p.m. for northwestern Pennsylvania," according to the National Weather Service.
