EMCC ALUMNUS DANIEL WADE TO LEAD MIGHTY LION BAND
July 18, 2024 — East Mississippi Community College has tapped Kemper County native Daniel Wade to fill the position of band director for the Mighty Lion Band. The hire represents a homecoming for Wade, who graduated from EMCC in 1999. As a student, he marched and played trombone for the Mighty Lion Band during athletic events and played saxophone during the band’s orchestra performances.

Bay St. Louis police, firefighters celebrate National Hot Dog Day with hot dog eating contest
BAT ST. LOUIS, Miss. (WLOX) - First responders in Bay St. Louis celebrated National Hot Dog Day at Martin Luther King, Jr. Park on Wednesday. There was also competition in the air as several firefighters and Bay St. Louis Police Chief Toby Schwartz took part in a hot dog eating contest.
