Heat advisory in effect on Wednesday in South Florida
PEMBROKE PARK, Fla. – A heat advisory is in effect through Wednesday evening for South Florida. The advisory is expected to last until 6 p.m. The feel heat index possibility in Miami-Dade, Broward, Monroe and Palm Beach counties ranges between 105 to 110 degrees while the highs will reach the low to mid-90s.

TALLAHASSEE - The state program that helps Floridians fortify their homes against damaging winds from hurricanes has paused initial inspections because it has run out of funds. My Safe Florida Home said funding for the inspections was exhausted 10 days after the program reopened. Because of that, applications are on pause.
