Hinton woman turns 106 on Fourth of July holiday
HINTON, W.Va. (WVVA) - A Summers County woman is celebrating her birthday this Independence Day. Myrtle Brabb, of Hinton, turned 106 today. Last year, Brabb was sent more than 1,500 birthday cards from all over the country after the Hinton Hope Foundation relayed that her only wish for her birthday was to receive card.

(Hinton News) - Warriors In The Field, an Elkins-based non-profit that serves veterans, visited Summers County on June 22 and 23 to take a deserving group of veterans on a New River float fishing trip.
