Independence Day celebration slated for July 3

An Independence Day celebration will be held July 3 at Lake Holt, Butner.

Gates open at 6 p.m. and the show starts at 9 p.m.

Creedmoor city officials note:

• No Tailgating: Food trucks will be on site. Alcohol will not be allowed.
• Be Prepared: Bring a lawn chair, blanket and bug spray.
• Due to the loud nature of the fireworks, please leave all pets at home.

• All attendees must enter and exit through the Lake Holt entrance. Once the gates are closed at 8:45 p.m., they will not reopen until the show is over.
• Parking will be directed by local public safety officials.
• In the event of light rain, the show will proceed as planned. No rain date will be scheduled.
The future of this event is dependent upon the continued support from donations. Organizers will have donation boxes available on site.
