Nebraska QB Dylan Raiola named ESPN Freshman Preseason All-American
On Saturday, ESPN’s Tom Luginbill published his preseason freshman All-America team, and Nebraska freshman quarterback Dylan Raiola was among those named preseason All-Americans. ESPN ranked Raiola the No. 11 player in the country during the 2025 recruiting cycle. Luginbill selected Raiola as the quarterback and notes that it’s rare for a true freshman to be the “definitive starting quarterback” before training camp begins, but that was the case with Raiola. He also notes that he’s the best option for the Huskers in their quarterback room. Luginbill expects plenty of bright spots but also bumps in the road as he plays against Big Ten competition. Raiola signed with the Huskers during the early signing period this past December, flipping his commitment to Nebraska after being committed to Georgia for seven months. He was considered a five-star prospect on three of four primary recruiting services.
