Interstate 275 in Northern Kentucky has reopened after a crash caused westbound lanes to shut down Friday afternoon, the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet announced on social media.

All lanes are now open, but the left shoulder remains blocked in the area where the crash occurred, KYTC said in an updated published on social media.

The agency advised motorists to drive carefully and to consider taking an alternate route since traffic on the highway is still backed up.

The crash occurred on I-275 westbound in the Crestview Hills area between Turkeyfoot Road and Kentucky Route 17, according to KYTC.

Starting around noon on Friday, all lanes were blocked, but the right shoulder was used to let some traffic pass, KYTC said.

No injuries were reported in the crash, according to Kenton County Emergency Communication Center. Details of the crash have not been released.

The Enquirer will update this report when more information becomes available.
