Men’s Soccer Kicks Off With Shutout
The Benedictine University men’s soccer team opened 2024 by shutting out Eureka on the road. The team controlled the first half, holding a 12-1 advantage in shots but managed just one goal on a tally from Berto Castillo in the 30 minute. Castillo set up Manny Casillas in the 58th minute and Benedictine closed out the win with a 79th minute marker from Chris Reynoso . Benedictine posted 16 shots in the win. Jordan Rolon made seven saves in the blank sheet. Benedictine opens the home schedule on Sunday night at 5pm against North Park.
