Funding will be awarded to bolster organizational and civic infrastructure expansion, advance of public policies, and/or support efforts impacting systems transformation through an intergenerational approach for the improved health and wellness of people in eastern Missouri and southern Illinois. The grant is designed to cultivate a partnership pipeline for the Movement Transformation Cohort.
Man, 64, accused of fatally shooting his brother in St. Louis City
ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - A 64-year-old man is facing charges in connection with a fatal shooting that happened Sunday afternoon in the Kingsway East neighborhood. Gregory Allen is charged with first-degree murder, armed criminal action and unlawful possession of a firearm. The charges were announced Monday afternoon.

ATLANTA (AP) — Paul Goldschmidt hit one of four Cardinals home runs after getting dropped in the order and St. Louis knocked off the Atlanta Braves 6-2 on Sunday to win the series. Cardinals designated hitter Alec Burleson had a homer and two RBIs, giving him 21 in 16 games in July. He has an RBI in six straight games, which is one shy of the Cardinals record. Lars Nootbaar and Willson Contreras also hit solo home runs. Miles Mikolas (8-8) gave up two runs on seven hits in six innings. He struck out three and walked one for the Cardinals, who won the season series against the Braves for the first time since 2017.

WFCN – On July 21, mass retailer Target Corp. will launch three new locations in California, Missouri, and Pennsylvania, expanding its network of over 2,000 stores. Target plans to open a shop in Lomita, California. This will be the company’s 318th outlet in California and its 127th in the Los Angeles, Long Beach, and Anaheim area. The Lomita store, which will employ about 70 people, is about 33,000 square feet and is located at 2130 Pacific Coast Highway. It will be open from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., seven days a week.
