Milford Police need your help to locate 28 year old Nelson Belus who was last seen on July 4th around 1am at a residence on Pierce Street in Milford. Man charged in shooting on Bay Bridge
CENTREVILLE — A Severn man is facing multiple charges in Queen Anne's County following an incident on the Bay Bridge in early June. According to Maryland Transportation Authority Police the driver of a black Jeep, identified as Melvin Clark, age 41, fired multiple shots toward a silver Mitsubishi while driving recklessly across the westbound span of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge. Reports show the driver then exited the Jeep and pointed a gun at the driver of the Mitsubishi. In a July 18 hearing, Judge Jennifer Alexander ordered Clark to be held without bond pending trial. In addition to multiple traffic violations, Clark is charged with assault in the first degree, reckless endangerment and the use of a firearm in a felony crime.
MD Cracks Down on Drunk Boating as “Nick’s Law” Goes into Effect
The Maryland Natural Resources Police (NRP) used the busy Fourth of July weekend this year to send boaters a clear message about drinking and driving on the water. NRP heightened their enforcement from July 4-6 during “Operation Dry Water” and made nine arrests for Operating While Under the Influence of Alcohol (OUI). That’s the highest number of Operation Dry Water arrests in six years.

Acccomack Board votes to revisit proposed Lane Diet Project for Market St. between Onley and Onancock
The Accomack County Board of Supervisors is going to review a prior vote to submit an application to VDOT to change Market St. from Rt 13 to Hill Street in Onancock from a four lane to a 3 lane road and adding a bike path. VDOT approved the project and scheduled for preliminary engineering in 2026 with construction occurring in 2028.
