    Man, woman accused of robbing Cromwell Super 8 at gunpoint

    CROMWELL, Conn. (WTNH) — Cromwell police say two suspects were charged after allegedly robbing a Super 8 Motel at gunpoint Tuesday.

    Officers responded to the motel on Industrial Park Road after report of the robbery. The victim provided a description of the suspects, and police said they were quickly located and taken into custody.

    Middletown man headed to maximum security hospital over 2021 murder

    28-year-old Trevor Simms, of Hartford, was charged with first-degree robbery, first-degree conspiracy to commit robbery, carrying a dangerous weapon, sixth-degree conspiracy to commit larceny, and sixth-degree larceny.

    Kayla Santos Dimanno, 33, of Meriden, was charged with first-degree conspiracy to commit robbery, first-degree robbery, sixth-degree larceny, and sixth-degree conspiracy to commit larceny.

    Both were held on $250,000 cash/surety bonds and are scheduled to appear at Middletown Superior Court on Wednesday.
