People hungry for a new fast food option in Wethersfield are one step closer to a popular chain coming to their community. Back in February, Raising Cane's announced that they planned to open a location in Wethersfield. A spokesperson had said they would begin construction on the restaurant in the spring of 2025.

ROSSBURG, Ohio (July 20, 2024) — David Gravel realized a career dream Saturday night at Eldora Speedway by winning the 41st Kings Royal with the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series. Gravel, from Watertown, Connecticut, took the lead from Tyler Courtney and had to fend off challenges from Logan Schuchart and defending Kings Royal champion Donny Schatz, losing the lead to both for a pair of laps each before taking the top position back.
Electric golf cart catches fire in Old Lyme, spreads to vacation house
Jul. 20—OLD LYME — A vacation house caught fire in the White Sands Beach neighborhood Saturday after an electric golf cart went up in flames, according to Fire Marshal David Roberge.
