Former Michigan football QB J.J. McCarthy has been ‘incredible’ with Vikings
One of the craziest things I have ever seen is all the pundits and rival fans who just refused to accept that J.J. McCarthy was an elite college football quarterback. The former Michigan football quarterback never had a turnover against Ohio State. He also had a four-touchdown game in the Shoe and led the Wolverines to 45 points, yet he’s “average.”
The Vikings Built an Escape Hatch into Justin Jefferson’s Monster Extension
In Minnesota’s ideal world, Justin Jefferson finishes his career with the Vikings. Only 25, Jefferson has proven to be a magnificent talent, someone who is more important than ever after Kirk Cousins departed. Something that’s notable, though, is that Minnesota will have some options as his deal progresses. Kwesi Adofo-Mensah, a shrewd GM, built in an escape hatch for the final pair of seasons.

Veteran tight end T.J. Hockenson has been a hugely important part of the Minnesota Vikings offense over the past two seasons. His importance in the offense is likely to increase in 2024 with uncertainty at the quarterback position. However, Hockenson suffered a serious knee injury at the end of last season and may not be ready for the beginning of the 2024 season.

Twins acquire infielder from Mets
The Twins have acquired infielder Rylan Bannon from the Mets, per their transaction log at MLB.com. The return isn’t specified, though it’s typical for midseason trades of non-40-man players of this ilk to send cash the other direction. Speculatively speaking, Bannon may have had an out clause in his deal with the Mets; he was hitting well in Triple-A Syracuse before this swap.

Strange Sun Country Flight is Now in Danger of Going Extinct
It was one of the shortest-- and cheapest-- flights out of Minnesota that Sun Country Airlines ever offered. But it might be soon a thing of the past. It was nearly two years ago that Sun Country Airlines, Minnesota's hometown airline, announced that it was adding service from the Minneapolis St. Paul International Airport (MSP) to Chippewa Valley Regional Airport in Eau Claire, Wisconsin (EAU). Those flights ran a whopping 21 minutes, a distance of just 85 miles, and were part of a $6.5 million annual grant meant to improve travel in rural America.
Ingrid Andress Has An Interesting Connection To Minnesota
She's been in the news for her recent version of the National Anthem, but did you know she has a distinct connection to Minnesota?. When it comes to the musical spotlight, Minnesota is most often associated with Prince, right? And, of course, there's Bob Dylan, too.
