Lovelady’s Davis finds new softball home
LUBBOCK, Texas (KTRE) - Former Lovelady Lady Lion and Louisiana Ragin’ Cajun, Mihyia Davis, is following Coach Gerry Glasco to Lubbock to join the Texas Tech Red Raiders. Davis was named Sun Belt Conference Player of the Year last year during her sophomore campaign as a Ragin’ Cajun. Davis became only the second player in program history to reach 90 hits last season when she had 91. She batted .419 on the year with 23 stolen bases. Davis struck out just 19 times in 217 at-bats. In her freshman season, Davis batted .380 with 70 hits and stole 52 bases.
