Person taken to hospital in I64W crash involving 2 semi-trucks

UPDATE: (11:45 A.M. Saturday, July 13) – The Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office told 13 News that the person involved in the crash was talking and had minimal injuries.
UPDATE: (6:49 P.M. Friday, July 12) – Kanawha County 911 dispatchers say I-64 West is now reopened after a crash that sent one person to the hospital.
A passenger car and two tractor-trailers were involved in the crash.
UPDATE: (2:39 P.M. Friday, July 12) – One person has been taken to the hospital after a three-vehicle crash involving two tractor-trailers, according to Nitro VFD spokesperson Joe Stevens.

Crews are still on the scene of the crash at this time.
CROSS LANES, WV (WOWK) – The westbound lanes of I-64 are closed near Cross Lanes due to a crash involving two tractor-trailers.
According to Kanawha County 911 dispatchers, the crash happened around 1:40 p.m. near the 47 mile-marker of I-64W, or the Cross Lanes exit. Dispatchers say two tractor-trailers and a passenger car were involved.
Dispatchers say at least one person has been injured, but there is no word on the extent of their injuries at this time.
The Institute Volunteer Fire Department, Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office and Kanawha County Ambulance Authority are responding. Dispatchers say the road will be closed for at least an hour.
