Victoria School Board Trustees meet to address level three grievances.

VICTORIA, Texas - The Victoria Independent School District Board of Trustees held a meeting on Aug. 29 to address two level three grievances. One grievance was filed by community member Tracy Hanes, who alleges that Board President Mike Mercer and former Superintendent Dr. Quintin Shepherd infringed on her First Amendment rights by restricting her ability to speak at a board meeting earlier this year.

"We're here to hear our level three grievance on the first amendment violation that occurred in January." Hanes said.

Additionally, the trustees have approved final budget amendments and the employment of new personnel.
