    Bay City man arrested for crash resulting in deaths of two young women

    VAN VLECK, Texas - Kanye Williams, 19, of Bay City, was arrested Wednesday in connection with a crash that resulted in the deaths of two young women, according to the Bay City Sentinel. The victims, Kylie Folmar, 19, and Haleigh Matchett, 17, were passengers in the vehicle Williams was driving.

    Williams faces two second-degree felony charges for collisions involving death according to a statement obtain from DPS Sgt. Stephen Woodard by the Bay City Sentinel. The crash occurred early Monday morning on Sept. 2 in Van Vleck. Williams was driving a 2016 BMW that collided with a 1998 Cadillac Coupe De Ville and struck a utility pole. The vehicle caught fire after the crash.

    Williams was booked into Matagorda County Jail on Wednesday. It is also reported that Williams had three outstanding traffic warrants for registration violation, failure to maintain financial responsibility, and failure to appear in court.
